You know what are the three elements of NdFeB

Generally,  the performance of strong neodymium magnets can be represented by four parameters namely, residual magnetic induction intensity (referred to as remanence) Br (unit Gauss GS or MILLITE MT, 1mt = 10GS), coercive force HCB (unit OSTE OE), intrinsic coercive force Hcj (unit OSTE OE), and maximum magnetic energy product (BH) max (unit mgoe). Among them, Br, Hcj and BH Max are the most direct expressions.

The relationship among BR, Hcj, (BH) max

Generally speaking, the magnitude of BR can indicate the surface magnetic field of the magnetized magnet; the magnitude of Hcj can indicate the anti demagnetization and temperature resistance of the magnetized magnet; (BH) max is the maximum value of the product of Br and Hcj, and its magnitude directly indicates the performance of the magnet. At present, we have not detected magnets with bonding NdFeB (BH) max greater than 11.5.

Generally speaking, in magnets with similar (BH) max, if BR is high, Hcj is low; if Hcj is high, BR is low. We can not only determine the quality of products by the level of (BH) max, but also see whether the level of Br and Hcj is suitable for the products we need

Whether the size of the three indicates the quality of the materials

We can not determine the quality of Br, Hcj, (BH) max by its use and required characteristics; even under the same (BH) max value, we also need to see the use and magnetization requirements of the product to decide whether to adopt high br value and low Hcj, or vice versa.

The influence of three sizes on magnetization

It is well known that under the same conditions, i.e. the same size, the same number of poles and the same magnetizing voltage, the surface magnetism of the magnetic parts with high magnetic energy product is also high, but at the same (BH) max value, the height of Br and Hcj has the following effects on magnetization:

BR is high, Hcj is low: under the same magnetizing voltage, we can get higher surface magnetism;

Br low, Hcj high: in order to get the same surface magnetism, high magnetizing voltage is needed;

For multi pole magnetization, the magnetic powder with high BR and low Hcj should be used, while for the magnetic tile, the magnetic powder with high Hcj and low br should be generally used, because the motor used for the magnetic tile should bear a large demagnetization current and overload in use.
