Whether in the daily production of our magnet manufacturers or in our daily life, we often encounter the situation that the magnet is broken. When the bar magnet is broken, it becomes two bar magnets; after the ring magnet is broken, it becomes two half ring magnets; after the round magnet is broken, it becomes two semicircle magnets. About the magnetic problem of the broken magnet, there are often people on the network to discuss, different opinions. Some say that the magnetism at the fracture surface is opposite, while others say that the magnetism at the fracture surface is the same. With this problem, the magnet manufacturers have made experiments with various magnets. The results show that the magnetic properties at the fracture surface of the bar magnet are opposite (i.e., the appearance of a different magnetic pole), and the two fracture surfaces are mutually attractive and easy to be connected.

However, after the ring and circular magnets break, the fracture surfaces are mutually exclusive, so it is difficult to press them together. Even if they are forced to put them together, as long as the hands are released, they will push each other away immediately, and one of them will immediately reverse. The fracture surface seems to be the magnetic pole of the same name.

It is easy to understand that the magnetism at the fracture surface of a bar (or hoof) magnet is synonymous. A magnet can be regarded as a regular arrangement of several small magnetic needles (i.e., adjacent small magnetic needles are connected by the mutual attraction of different magnetic poles, which can be known from the hypothesis of magnetic origin molecular current). Breaking a magnet is equivalent to separating the small magnetic needle at some place. After separation, the magnetism of the two points is still synonymous The magnetic pole, that is, the magnetic field of the other two ends remains unchanged.
